Aura
Privacy policy

What is kept, and who sees it.

Last updated 2026-10-07. This describes the app as it actually behaves. The shorter, friendlier version of the same thing is on the privacy page.

Who is responsible

Aura Shakti is made and run by Vansh Kashyap, New Delhi, India. For anything in this policy — a question, a correction, or a request to delete your data — write to vk1234888i@gmail.com.

No cookies, and no tracking

The app and this site set no cookies at all, and there is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. What is stored in your browser is your own: your settings, your theme, your app lock, and the things you asked the app to remember.

What is kept on a server

  • Your account — the email address you signed in with, and the display name and picture if you used Google. Held in Firebase Authentication.
  • Your conversations — the messages in a normal chat, so your history survives reinstalling, stored against your account in Firestore.
  • Counters — how many messages you sent today, and when you last signed in, so the daily limit works.
  • Feedback — only if you send some.

What never leaves your device

  • Mood check-ins. Written to the device and never uploaded. There is no copy on any server.
  • What the app remembers about you — the facts shown under Memory in settings.
  • Your app lock. A PIN, passcode or pattern is salted and hashed; only the salt and hash are stored, locally. Biometrics are handled by your device and never reach us.
  • Reasoning test results.
  • Files you attach. Kept in your browser's storage so the conversation can keep referring to them. They are sent to the model to be read, but not stored on our servers.

Incognito

An incognito thread is not written down anywhere — no history entry, no summary, nothing synced. It is still sent to the model to be answered, because that is the only way to answer it.

Who else receives what

To answer you at all, what you write has to go to a model. These are the only companies involved, and what each one gets:

  • Google — your messages, for the Gemini model to answer. Also Firebase, which holds your account and your history, and Google Fonts on this website.
  • Groq — your messages, but only when Google's daily quota has run out and the app falls back.
  • Pollinations — when you ask for a picture, the description of that picture is sent there to be drawn. Your conversation is not.
  • Vercel — hosts the app and the site, so it handles the requests in transit.

Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone for advertising.

Children

This is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has made an account, write to the address above and it will be removed.

How long it is kept, and getting it out

Your conversations stay until you delete them — a chat deleted in the app is deleted from the server. You can export any conversation as Markdown or PDF from inside the app. To have your whole account and everything in it deleted, write to the address above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.

Read the terms too.
