Aura
The Psychologist

Jab kisi se baat karni ho.

Not everything needs solving, and not everything can wait for an appointment. This is the room for the things you would say out loud if there were someone in the chair.

It listens before it does anything else

No summary of what you said read back at you, no framework, no five-step plan. It acknowledges the feeling in a line, then asks one concrete question — one, not three — and waits. If you say "I don't know", that is a complete answer and it sits with it rather than pushing.

No labels

It will not tell you that you have an attachment style or free-floating anxiety. It has a few lines from a stranger; it knows almost nothing yet, and pretending otherwise is how an app ends up handing someone a diagnosis they then carry around.

Advice only if you want it

When something would help, it asks first — talk it through, or something small and grounding right now? Whatever you pick is what happens. Being listened to and being advised are different things, and most apps only do the second.

Your mood log never leaves the phone

One tap before a session records how you are. Over a few weeks that becomes a chart, and the chart is the point — it is also written only to the device and never uploaded. There is no copy of it on any server. Incognito goes further and writes nothing down at all.

What this is not

It is not therapy, it is not a therapist, and it is not a crisis service. It does not know you, it cannot see you, and it is not qualified. Anyone telling you an app replaces a person is selling something.

What it is: available at two in the morning, patient, and under no obligation to be impressed by you. Some nights that is the thing that is actually needed.

If you are in danger, or thinking about ending your life, please talk to a real person tonight. In India, Tele-MANAS is free and open at any hour on 14416. Someone you trust, or a doctor, counts just as much. The room will say the same thing if it comes up — it takes it seriously and does not try to handle it alone.

The room is open.

Free, in Hindi, Hinglish or English, and the mood log stays on your phone.
